How much does video content cost for a restaurant (and what does cheap cost you)

The honest answer is “it depends”. The half nobody tells you: what you lose when your videos — your restaurant's business card — look cheap.

The honest answer to “how much does video content cost for a restaurant?” is “it depends”. On how many clips you want, how many shoot days, how complex the edit is. Everyone tells you that. And everyone is right.

Except it's only half the question. Nobody asks the other half: what does it cost you to do it cheap?

A business card for your guests' stomachs

Think about how people choose where to eat tonight. They don't walk down the street reading menus at the door anymore. They scroll. They see a clip of a steaming dish, a full room, an evening that looks good — and they decide in three seconds.

Your videos are your restaurant's business card. More precisely, a business card for your guests' stomachs. Before people taste your food, they see it. And they judge it by how it looks on a phone.

Cheap means a cheap business

It sounds harsh, but that's reality: if you skimp on a few hundred euros to make your business look good, guests draw their own conclusion. A rushed clip with bad light and kitchen noise doesn't say “good restaurant”. It says “restaurant that doesn't bother”.

And nobody goes to a restaurant that doesn't bother. You can have the best food in town — if it looks cheap on Instagram, people never find out.

You're not paying for videos. You're paying for the people who walk in after seeing them.

What you actually get for the money

When you compare prices, you're really comparing how much someone gets involved in your business. The usual options look like this:

An employee hired just to make TikToks knows the place, but rarely has the gear, the eye and the post-production — and on busy days they end up helping with tables instead of filming. A freelancer, with a camera or a phone, comes, shoots what you asked for and leaves for the next client. A big agency has plenty of people, but your restaurant is one of dozens of clients on a spreadsheet.

We do something else: we spend full days at your place, up to 8 hours a day, 3–5 times a week, and keep a rolling pipeline — before this week's clips run out, next week's are ready. Shooting, editing, color grading, sound, all in-house. We don't know anyone who dedicates themselves this much to a single business. At least, that's what we believe.

In short

How much does it cost? It depends. What does looking cheap cost you? The guests who don't come. Invest in how your restaurant looks as much as you invest in the food — because people see them in that order.

CUT.
